This orthodox icon was done back in 2000 at the time when I was experimenting with different technics and materials like golden foil used for typography trying to compile the old technichs used in the past for religious crafted assets. Engraving on the surface means to enhance the decorative overall effect. The Frame was crafted all manual by an old professional joiner and decorated inline with the overall style.
